Facilitating Professional Learning
You've taken hours of professional learning at GOAL-- and maybe even some outside of GOAL! Now, it's time to show off your expertise and help grow other staff members. Ready to facilitate professional learning opportunities and other trainings? Read on to get started as a Certified GOAL Facilitator.

Why certify facilitators?
The roles and responsibilities of online and in-person facilitators at GOAL Academy require deep knowledge of adult learning theory as well as our software systems. In addition, facilitators share accountability for offering robust, professional-quality trainings that fit the needs of our staff.
In our GOAL Facilitator Certification course, you will participate in activities to plan and practice active learning and engagement strategies. You will learn how to create events in Vector as well as manage attendance, award credit, and remove nonattenders. Once you complete the course, you'll automatically receive a badge in Vector that certifies you as a facilitator!
Who should become a certified facilitator?
If you'd like to lead professional learning in the 2023-2023 school year, you are required to certify as a GOAL facilitator. This includes facilitating credit-bearing events such as
-
Gladiator Forum
-
Academic Coach training days
-
Quarter- or semester-long professional learning courses
-
GOAL Forum
-
Back-to-School trainings
-
Medication Delegation
-
New Hire Orientation
